John Paul Larkin, (Marzo 13, 1942 — Diciembre 3, 1999), mejor conocido como John Scatman, fue famoso jazzista quien creó una fusión única entre el scat, canto y techno, mejor conocido por su hit "Scatman (Ski Ba Bop Ba Dop Bop)" en 1994. Como a él le gustaba decir, este es el proceso de "cambiar mi más grande problema en mi más grande ganancia". Recibió 14 discos de Oro y 18 de Platino opr sus albums y solos. Murió de cancer pulmonar en su casa en los Angeles California a la edad de 57 años.
